Removals and Office Clearances
At Re-Work we help to make office furniture clearance quick, easy and hassle free, as well as priding ourselves on being caring towards the environment. Our roots stem from reusing as much unwanted office furniture as we can, to stop it from going into landfill. What cannot be re-used is recycled in the most environmentally, friendly way.
We work on 3 avenues when completing office clearances and grade the furniture on the following;
Grade 1 – We would offer payment for it
Office furniture rated as grade 1 would be in excellent condition/nearly new and meet the high demand of the current used furniture market. Quantities of 5+ would also be a great advantage.
Grade 2 – We would collect free of charge
Office furniture rated as grade 2 would be in full working order and hold a small re-sale value, but might not be fast moving stock.
Grade 3 – We would charge an hourly rate
Office furniture rated as grade 3 would either broken or hold no re-sale value. Re-Work would quote an hourly rate to remove and recycle accordingly.
So how do we grade your furniture?
We ask that you email all the information below to firstname.lastname@example.org. This will help us to determine which avenue we choose to follow. It may be that we arrange a site visit to discuss the options and make a full assessment.
All the following information will help us determine and process it quickly:
- Images of the furniture
- List and quantities of furniture
- Contact name and full address
- Floor location – if not ground floor, do you have a lift / stairs for access
- Parking and access information
- Timescales / deadline of clearance
In terms of how quickly your furniture would need removing, we advise our clients give at least 3 weeks’ notice, in order for us to complete the clearance within a realistic deadline.
How is it recycled and where does it go?
Office furniture that cannot be re-homed is broken down in our warehouse for spares, or sent for specialist recycling. The most interesting part of our recycling process is that our desk tops, pedestals and filing cabinets are sent to a local company that produce the materials for our new furniture manufacturers from our recycled materials!
