A welcome new face at Re:Work
We’d just like to do a bit of shouting about one of our members of staff.
Owen Cartwright joined us late last year and we’re quite simply bowled over with him. And seeing as I’ve been known to have a rant about the youth of today, we thought it was well worth blogging about.
Owen, who’s 19, came to Re:Work on a work placement scheme and we’ve been busy organising an apprenticeship for him since, well, pretty much his first week.
He’s got a great can-do attitude, he’s positive, hard-working and focused, and he’s got common sense in spades. You only need to ask or tell him to do something the once – which can be a bit unusual in this day and age – and he actually wants to work.
We’re delighted to have created a new job at Re:Work, and couldn’t be happier to be giving it to Owen. He’s going to be trained in logistics and warehousing and we’ve got him earmarked as a potential team leader.
So there’s a warm welcome to Owen at Re:Work, and any other young people who can approach work like he does!
